Listen, I love holiday shopping as much as the next gal, but I can only take so much. Heck, I even created some Black Friday Shopping Tips for you. But this year, we are building in a break on Saturday. My hubby has off this weekend (which is a treat for us) and we are heading out to the Dolby Cinema at AMC to see the new Disney feature film MOANA!
If you saw my post last week, you’ll know that I am PSYCHED about seeing this film. That artist’s tour was something else. I didn’t mention it last week, but I learned that Heihei was originally drawn as a super sassy chicken! We got to see some animation of him in his original state and he was something else. BUT then the directors and artists changed him to what you’ll see below, and I agree, it was a better way to go. This is just one of the MANY reasons I’m super stoked to see this film.
Let’s add on another layer of joy! I’m taking the twinnies and the hubs to see it at an Dolby Cinema Theater! What? You don’t know about Dolby Cinema at AMC? Well, Google that up RIGHT. THIS. MINUTE! (or you can just click the link I threw in there for ya!) : )
Besides the seats that make me NEVER want walk again (think WALL-E, for my fellow Disney freaks… Watch this!)
The sound is EXACTLY what you think it would be since Dolby created this theater. It has moving audio and after hearing just a taste of this music, I know that if I had to choose a movie to see at a Dolby Theater, this would be the one. But then again, I’m a sucker for Polynesian music. I’m not kidding. I’ve been a fan of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole since high school when we were introduced to him in a music class. In MOANA, the music has that relaxing and soulful vibe that immediately transports you to a South Pacific Island and allows you to envision the ocean and even feel that ice cold drink in your hand with the umbrella in it. Listen to a quick track below and you’ll see why this film should be seen in a Dolby Theater.
So who’s joining me this Saturday at the Dolby Cinema at AMC? To buy tickets you can visit AMC’s website AND even reserve your seats! Don’t forget AMC’s Stubs rewards program which allows you to upgrade your concessions (pay for a small but get a medium, pay for a medium and get a large!) AND you get $10 for every $100 you spend.
