If it’s early on in your pregnancy and you’ve got higher-than-average hCG levels, you’re probably wondering if it’s from twins! Or maybe you’re just curious about what other twin moms experienced with hCG. Either way, here’s what other twin parents shared about their specific hCG levels early on in their twin pregnancies!

We recently checked in with our twin parenting community to ask them:

What were your exact hCG levels early on in your twin pregnancy?

And here’s what our fabulous twin parents shared about their early hCG levels (in mIU/mL) with twins

Note: We asked twin parents to share their levels based on their specific week of pregnancy or their days past ovulation in mIU/mL. That said, we can’t account for whether or not there was any misreporting based on confusion around gestational ages.

Also, the values we are sharing below are not meant to be used as a guide for what hCG levels with twins should be like. Instead, we hope they simply give you an idea of what real twin parents experienced with their hCG values early on in their twin pregnancy!

Final thoughts on hCG levels with twins

As you can see from what twin parents shared above, there’s quite a range of hCG levels with twins. The underlying theme is that in general, twin hCG levels are typically much higher than they are in a singleton pregnancy. And early on in a twin gestation, hCG levels tend to double very quickly.

If you’re pregnant with twins and are wondering (or worrying) about your hCG levels, be sure to check in with your medical provider! And for more guidance on how to begin preparing for twins, click here to get started
