Originally from upstate New York, Fran Pitre met her husband Bruce while living in south Louisiana, and after living in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington DC for several years, they settled in Jacksonville, FL where they are raising their six children, who all arrived in sets of two. Her twin girls were born in Washington DC in Dec 1994; her boy/girl set was born in Jacksonville in Oct 1999; as were her twin boys in Oct 2007. Before starting a family, Fran pursued her career as a graphic designer in the field of advertising and enjoyed a senior design position with a global corporation headquartered just outside of Washington DC. Being actively involved in music since childhood, Fran sang and recorded with a DC-based alternative rock band. Later, a stay-at-home/work-from-home mom while her children were young, Fran operated a freelance design business and wrote and published her book TWINS x 3 in 2009. In 2017, when the youngest set of twins reached the age of 10, Fran became professionally involved in music again and has since performed several times in New York City at the invitation of a fellow-musician and friend, and in Northeast Florida with her band called Fran Pitre & Class Act. She co-writes, produces, and publishes original music with a Jacksonville-based musician/composer/arranger. She released her first album in the fall of 2018 and has just released her second album entitled “Follow Your Dreams” on Nov 1, 2020. In 2019, Fran wrote and published TWINS x3, 10-Year-Anniversary updating her readers on all that happened since 2009. She’s currently creating the author-read audiobook version of her book.
